The traditional tres tombs parade returns to Tarragona
Els tres tombs, held in many towns throughout Catalonia, gathers a wide number of riders, carts and horses who go round the streets of the city-centre and receive the blessing of Sant Antoni (Saint Anthony), patron saint of domestic animals.
Programme
- from 9.00 a.m.: gathering of the carriages and horses at Vidal y Barraquer Avenue
- at approximately 11.30 a.m.: start of the parade
Route: Francesc Bastos, Ramón y Cajal, Rambla Nova
- around noon: blessing of the horses from the platform on Rambla Nova, in front of the Town Hall offices
- Parade back: Rambla Nova, Ramón y Cajal, Francesc Bastos
