Paths of Tarragona
Since it was founded, Tarragona has been connected to the surrounding countryside and villages by paths, some of which are as old as the city itself. Tarragona’s network of public paths consists of old cart tracks, bridle paths, trails and other more modern roads.

Tarragona has a very extensive municipal district with a large number of natural areas, three of which are protected by the Areas of Natural Interest Plan (Pla d'Espais d'Interès Natural PEIN).

Beaches
Another major draw for visitors to Tarragona is the city's 15-kilometre coastline, dotted with multiple beaches and easily-accessible, alluring coves with crystalline waters.
