Giants and Bigheads of Sant Magí Meeting
Discover the largest display of giants and bigheads of Sant Magí in Tarragona
On Saturday 12 August you have an appointment with the city of live culture. Come and enjoy one of the best gatherings of giants and dwarves in Catalonia as part of the Sant Magí programme, Tarragona's small biggest festival.
The 8th Giants and Bigheads of Sant Magí Meeting in Tarragona awaits you, from 5.30 p.m. on the Rambla Nova, in a parade that will travel through part of the streets of the city, showing 85 giants from Catalonia, Spain and France and with the participation of 1,000 people.
The diversity of heights, motifs and costumes will give us a wealth of giants unique in Tarragona. Several couples of centenary giants, who do not usually leave their villages, will come to Tarragona to show us their dances, which will enrich the festival of the giants in the city.
Programme of the 8th Sant Magí Giant Puppets Gathering:
| 17:30 h | Arrival of the Giants to Rambla Nova, to the Balcó del Mediterrani section and to the Roger de Llúria monument. |
| 18:30 h | Start of the parade in the Rambla Nova following Sant Agustí, Portalet, Baixada Misericordia, Major, Santiago Rusiñol square and Pla de la Seu (Cathedral). |
| 19:30 h | Start of the show with the groups entering the Santiago Rusiñol square, accompanied by the Rajolers Music Band. |
| 20 h | Presentation of the Turkish/Historical Giants of the Passeig Torroja. |
