REC brings new film talent to Tarragona

REC is a showing of national and international fiction or documentary feature films. A great opportunity to get to know new directors or rediscover well-known directors through their first works.

Enjoy premiere films that have won awards at the best international festivals, new directors, discoveries, emotions and much more.

REC is a festival focused on the presentation, dissemination and promotion of new talent, the meeting of debut creators with the public, as well as the dissemination of current trends in the audiovisual world. It is also the only Spanish festival dedicated exclusively to international Opera Prima, with its contest, parallel sections and professional activities.

The festival, committed to new creation and the promotion of emerging talent, has been held since the beginning of the century in the Mediterranean city of Tarragona (a World Heritage Site by UNESCO).

Through its International Opera Prima Contest, with the first works by emerging creators, as well as the parallel sections, each year it is a showcase for contemporary cinema formats.

Edition 2024: December becomes the month of the REC in Tarragona

The REC brings together five days of intense film activity and the discovery of new talent from all over the world in Tarragona, with the Tarragona Theatre, the Antiga Audiència and the Teatret del Serrallo.
