The seaside portion of the city wall faces directly onto Passeig de Sant Antoni. It has no towers nor was it fortified in the Modern era; rather, it is characterised by the windows that the citizens of Tarragona built into it. The "Portal de Sant Antoni", or St. Anthony Gateway, dates back to the 18th century.
